WHAT WE HAVE BEEN UP TO?

Since 2014, our Head of Flight Operations has had a fascination with the problem of LOCi. Paul delivers CASA Part 61 Flight Activity Endorsements such as spinning and aerobatics. Additionally, he is the Chief Pilot of a CASA Part 138 - Banner Towing aerial advertising business.

Compared to other flight instructors, Paul spends a significant amount of time, in and around the stall. This experience is vital in not only understanding the behavior of an aircraft at the edges of the envelope but has afforded Paul the opportunity to develop unique instructional techniques to help pilots of all levels understand “Stability” and “angle of Attack”.

Strike Aviation Training (SAT) has driven UPRT for General and Recreational Aviation here in Australia, and is now working with CASA and RAAus, to help develop an appropriate UPRT Flight Training Instructor framework that will address and improve “The How” by incorporating UPRT elements throughout initial and further training.
